Mulligan Stew Nov 1st 2025- Two Guests – Bahamas and Aysanabee (and Donor Requests)

Donor-supported CKUA Radio just finished a long and strong Fall Fundraiser.
Thank you for your donations and support.

Due to the essential fundraising, we got backed up on The Stew interviews.
Which by way of letting you know we have two distinctive artists guesting this week on the Stew.

Afie Jurvanen (Bahamas) joins the first hour and brings stories from his just-released My Second Last Album.
Afie explains he went from a full Nashville experience with Bootcut to a small shack-like building 30 minutes from his home in Nova Scotia. Just he and his buddy, who owns and built the studio for two.
It’s a collection of songs left over from Bootcut and several that just “showed up”.
Each one is unique and totally Bahamas.
Saturday he’ll be headed out the family door to tour Europe. 18 dates.  From Dublin, the UK, Belgium, Sweden and ending in Paris – as one does.
The complete interview can be found on the Mulligan Stew Podcast and Terry David Mulligan YouTube Channel.

The Hour Two guest is Juno winner  Aysanabee.

Touring at exactly the same time as Bahamas but much closer.
Nov 6 Edmonton
Nov 7 Fort Sask
Nov 8 Red Deer
Nov 20 Banff
Nov 21 Calgary
Then headed for the Okanagan, Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

Aysanabee brings songs from Edge of the Earth. On Ishkodé Records.

Formed by Amanda Rheaume and Shoshona Kish. One of the first indigenous and women/owned labels in Canada.
Just like Bahamas, Edge of the Earth is a collection of songs that didn’t quite fit into earlier albums. Aysanabee calls them “life’s mixtape”
Each is distinctive and well worth embracing.
The complete interview can be found on the Mulligan Stew Podcast and YouTube Channel. The rest of The Stew will be carried by donor music requests from the fall Fundraiser and my fundraising music wish list.
