When a press note comes in from the wonderfully engaging  Kate Colley, you had better pay attention.

On the Naramata Bench, Little Engine Wines is entering a new era – one built on a long friendship, a shared palate, and fifteen years of parallel careers across four countries.

Andrew Windsor joins as winemaker, succeeding founding winemaker Scott Robinson, who steps into the newly created role of Wine Director. The two met at the University of Adelaide, where both earned graduate degrees in oenology, and they are now reunited at the winery Robinson has shaped since its first vintage in 2014.

Windsor brings 25 years of experience spanning Niagara, Marlborough, the Northern Rhône, and British Columbia, most recently as co-owner and winemaker at Maverick Estate Winery.

(Maverick recently won 4 Gold and 2 Silver awards at Wine Align 2026  National Wine Awards of Canada. Which made them the #7 Winery in Canada.)
Robinson remains central to the winery’s long-term vision, overseeing the broader wine program while Windsor leads vineyard strategy and cellar operations. The continuity of style is deliberate.

For collectors, the current Little Engine releases are the final vintages made solely under Scott Robinson’s hand – available now through the winery’s website and tasting room.

The 2026 wines below have been released but two of them will be much sought after.
The Silver Pinot Noir 2022 (92 Points) pepper-bright-complete. 100% Naramata grown.
2022 Silver Pinot Noir
The Vineyard Select Pinot Noir 2022  (94 points) was awarded a Platinum Honour. 1% of 1%. Elegant and lifted.  Ripe berries, herbs, unfined and unfiltered.

Describing the Pinot above John Szabo wine judge, critic and writer from Wine Align wrote  –
A notoriously fussy, thin-skinned variety that continues to reward only the patient, precise and obsessive.
I wanted to know which one Andrew Windsor thought he was.
