Mulligan Stew January 21st 2017- Healing Music…Joey Landreth, Delbert McClinton , and more…

Episode Notes

Had a thought this week about the Power of Music to heal.
At this point in my life I don’t have to be convinced that music DOES heal. I see it all the time.
Mostly it’s to help humans deal with loss, sickness, separation and both fear and joy.
But THIS week involves something we haven’t seen in a long long time..a feeling that something is not right with our friends in the USA.
Friendships are truly being tested, facts are being fudged and an unsettled queasy feeling covers the day.
So..can music help the journey? Frankly, it’s a lot to ask of music but I believe there’s healing in the music. And a truth.
Don’t forget The Truth.

New music from Delbert McClinton, Sturgill Simpson, Joel and Bill Plaskett, Soul Scratchers and an amazing new EP from Joey Landreth called Whiskey.
Joey is going to be a star. No question. He’s that good. He writes, he sings and plays a stunningly sweet guitar.

Check out killer songs from The Wood Brothers, Aoife O’Donovan, Victor Wainwright, the Piana from Savanah, Barry Allen, Mike Plume, The Band, Ry Cooder and FOUR live tracks..
Little Feat (Waiting for Columbus) and The Doors (live in NYC) and Annie Lennox (The Unplugged Collection) and John Fogerty (Tribute to Dr John)
Let the music heal!!!
