Mulligan Stew Sept 12th 2026- September songs & Saturday Night Dance Music

Episode Notes

Was thinking about “a September feeling”

Walking through the leaves, cooler nights, shorter days, the changing of seasons kind of thang.

Most of the great September songs seem to come from the jazz era of the mid-30s and 40s.

Sinatra, Ella, Mel Torme, Tony Bennett – all those cats and kittens.

So I  started to dig, looking for songs about Sept and songs that had the feeling of Sept.

Here’s my list of artists.

The Temptations

Eric Clapton

Corb Lund

Rosanne and Johnny Cash

The Dukes of September  (Donald Fagan, Mike McDonald and Boz)

Got into an exchange of texts with Gael Anne and Chad. Two donors from Calgary.   Pals.
